How to use it
The Eco-region NW contains a wide range of information and tools. Most of these are prototypes and work in progress, towards the 'ideal' sustainability information system.
Time travel
You can explore the region and its future with online interactive tools:
- NW Quest- this asks for policy choices on housing, transport etc: and then shows the results of your choice over the next 40 years
- NW Lifestyle- this asks some sideways questions (what do people really want),
- NW Visions then takes you to a vision of the future based on your answers
Space travel
- you can explore the many layers of the region through the on-line NW Maps:
One Planet thinking
- You can analyse the eco-footprint, materials and CO2 from type of production and consumption with the REAP system (offline, available at www.sei.se/reap)
- You can benchmark your local authority or business with the REAP applications (offline prototypes at Workbench NW and Local NW)
