Description

The South West Regional Development Agency has identified environmental technologies as an emerging priority sector that will play a crucial role in the South West's economy. Support is provided in the following areas:

• Skills development, through the regional project Enviroskills SW. For more information, see www.enviroskillssw.org.uk
• Encouraging increased exports and international trade by South West companies
• Promoting the development of regional and local supply chains
• Attracting and retaining domestic and foreign direct investment into the region
• Supporting business growth through access to appropriate finance and advice
• Increasing the rate of technology transfer between further and higher education, public sector research establishments and businesses
