MemberEast of England Development AgencyDescriptionThe Centre for Sustainable Engineering (CSEng) is a national centre of excellence, operated on a nonprofit basis, which provides independent engineering, commercial and strategic services to accelerate the market adoption of more sustainable technologies. The Centre works with and for SMEs, blue chips, policy makers, RDAs and higher education institutions who have a common interest in the more efficient use of energy and materials and the elimination of toxins and pollutants. CSEng gathers 'more sustainable technologies' (a defined term) and brokers them into markets using comprehensive databases of such technologies and in-house engineering and commercialisation expertise. We proactively exploit opportunities to deliver market-focused, incremental-to-step-change improvements in resource efficiency and the integration of industrial activities with environmental systems.With partners, the Centre also supports the growth of companies in the East of England supplying environmental goods and services, emphasising the importance of more sustainable technologies for economic benefit.
