Site background: The site is on chemical company, Cabot Carbon’s land, on a former staff car park, which has been unused for around 15-years. Visible from the M53 motorway, work on the site will also add to the creation of open space and wildlife habitats along the Shropshire Union Canal.
Stage two surveys have been completed on this site, as have the community consultations and context plans. The Forestry Commission is the only developer on this site, and site works are planned to commence in the first quarter of the new financial year. Links with the Highways Agency have also been made over this site, to help integrate it into the wider landscape.
